This isn’t a drill, and it’s not just a few dollars. Brompton is raising prices across the board, and some of the most popular models are jumping by more than 15%. With global supply chains still in flux and summer already knocking at the door, the smart move is to get ahead of it. If you’ve been eyeing that perfect folding bike for your commute, your weekend adventures, or just for the sheer joy of riding, this is your moment. Pre-order by June 25 to lock in today’s pricing and avoid the Brompton price increase.

What’s Changing — Price Increases by Model

Here’s a quick look at Brompton’s price increases. Note that Pedaal pricing strictly follows Brompton’s Minimum Advertised Pricing.

Pre-order now to lock in the current price

Brompton doesn’t warehouse bikes in the UK – they build to order in scheduled production runs. That means every bike is made specifically for a dealer or customer. If an order is placed before June 25, it will enter a July or August production slot, and current pricing will still apply – even if the bike is built after the deadline. If you’re hoping to ride this summer – or even early fall – now’s the time to act. Secure your Brompton before the price increase kicks in. Check out the links below for your Pre-Order HQ.

How To Read Our Pre-Order Pages

  • If a bike is marked “In Production,” it’s almost here.
  • If it’s marked “Book Next Production,” we can secure it at the current price so long as you order before June 25. Lead times are estimated as follows:
    • Standard bikes (C-Line, P-Line, T-Line, G-Line): Estimated delivery in 6–8+ weeks
    • Electric models (C-Line Electric, P-Line Electric): Must ship by ocean. Delivery time is closer to 12+ weeks

Note: we’ll always confirm the expected arrival before you commit – but if you want your Brompton at today’s price, you must act before June 25. And, you don’t need to pay full price now – just pay a $500 deposit to secure your order. Balance is due upon pickup.

Why It’s Happening

While Brompton hasn’t publicly disclosed the detailed reasoning behind this their price increase, Brompton has been quite late in terms of price increases. Most companies were already increasing prices upwards of 20% during Covid, but Brompton kept their prices the same. However, with Trump’s Tariffs and the cost of raw materials going up, Brompton was left with no choice. Trump’s Tariffs have certainly not helped.

That’s the short version. That said, none of this is special to Brompton. Since Covid, prices have continued to increase bicycle industry wide. But if you’re a Canadian buyer wondering why things always feel a little clunky north of the border, there’s a deeper story.

Canada’s Brompton Problem (And Why We’re Pushing for a Fix)

As we explain in detail in Follow the MAP: Explaining Brompton Pricing in Canada, Canadian Brompton retailers face a uniquely difficult supply chain. Brompton’s pricing strategy assumes that Canadian retailers will ship bikes by ocean. But, in a country with a short cycling season, adding one to two months of transit time (on top of one to two months production time) simply isn’t viable. Most consumers aren’t willing to wait that long, and most retailers aren’t either.

Air freight is the solution but it comes at a steep cost. Unlike most global bike brands that bake shipping into their dealer pricing, Brompton does not, leaving Canadian shops to absorb the cost of air freight themselves. As an alternative, Canadian retailers could order from the USA office, but with Trump’s new tariffs, costs have risen higher than retail pricing. Add to that Brompton’s biggest strength – its incredible range of custom options – and you get a logistical challenge: how to match a customer’s dream bike to a narrow seasonal window, with lead times (production + freight) that routinely exceed three or four months.

All of this isn’t the reason prices are going up. But it’s why we, along with other Canadian dealers, are urging Brompton to develop a Canadian-specific supply strategy that works. In the meantime, the best thing we can do for our customers is help them plan ahead.

Ride Through the Tariffs

Prices may be rising, but a Brompton still saves you money in the long run. Ditching transit fares, gas prices, or car payments adds up fast – and there’s no better way to move through the city with freedom, flexibility, and peace of mind. It’s the best city bike ever made!

After all, a Brompton fits in your hallway, your office, your trunk, and your tent. It’s office-ready and summer-adventure ready. Don’t let the global economy eat your summer!
