Sure, a Brompton solves a trillion problems. It’s theft proof because it comes inside. It’s small wheels are natural assets in a city made up of constant start-and-stops. Basically speaking, a Brompton connects life in the “last mile” better than any other mode of transit and certainly any other bike. But, in the midst of all this ridiculous practicality, we can miss another entire reason for buying a Brompton. And, this is that a Brompton is ridiculously fun. A Brompton is the best way to travel, vacation and explore – whether you’re exploring far, far away or close to home. And so, with summer holidays on the horizon, let’s explore what kind of adventure we can have.
Ready for Takeoff in 15 Seconds Flat
Ever tried bringing a bike on a trip? It’s a hassle: find a box, take the bike apart, haul it to the airport, pay oversized fees, and hope it survives the flight. Then reassemble it at your destination – and repeat the whole ordeal on the way back. Yes, there is a better way!
Of course the answer is: get a Brompton! Here’s a bike that packs small at home and the office – and for your next flight. Whether you check your Brompton, gate check it, or even put it in the overhead carry-on holds, your bike is ready to adventure in under 15 seconds. Plus, a Brompton is a great bike to explore a city, hop on a train to explore more cities, or even ride between cities. Here are some fun blogs to get you inspired:

A Shore Thing: Bromptons and the Boating Life
Brompton’s are big with the boating crowd. And, no wonder. They are the only bike that tend to fit into a boats locker, and, if you get an electric Brompton, they are best way to climb the hill that usually separates the marina from life above water (grocery stores, pubs, galleries, etc). With such limited space aboard a boat, a Brompton tucks out of the way and connects life on the mainland to the water.
There are so many inspiring people using Bromptons on their boat. Here are a few that we love:
- You can travel city to city, or you can explore your own city. With a folding kayak and a Brompton you can “microadventure” in your own back yard.

Rolling Roommate: Brompton + Vanlife
Whether you’re living the vanlife or on a short or long road trip, a Brompton is the ultimate companion. With a regular bike, you’re stuck with an expensive car rack that often gets in the way, cuts down mileage, or causes anxiety around theft. Not so with a Brompton! It’s amazing how little space a Brompton takes up, whether you’re car camping or cruising in a proper RV.

Close-to-Home Escapes
Of course, the best place to explore with your Brompton is your own backyard! On days off we love to take our Brompton to the Toronto Island, hit used bookstores, find other great coffee shops, hit up a brewery all the while taking our Brompton’s inside. But, it’s equally fun to take your Brompton’s onto the Go Train to find adventures outside of Toronto. We’ll be posting a whole bunch of rides and blog posts about this too, so stay tuned!

- Hop on a train a bit further and ride the P’tit Train Du Nord. Here’s how to do it car free.
Where Will Your Brompton Take You?
So yes, the Brompton is practical. In fact, it might be the most practical bike on Earth. But if that’s all we talk about, we risk missing the real magic: this little folding marvel doesn’t just fit your lifestyle – it expands it. Whether it’s gliding off a ferry into a coastal village, unfolding beside your camper at sunrise, or pedaling home from an art gallery with a baguette and a secondhand book in your bag, a Brompton adds a sense of adventure to the everyday.
Summer’s here. Trains are running. Planes are boarding. Side streets are humming. Wherever you’re headed – across the world or across town – your Brompton is ready in 15 seconds flat. Let the exploring begin!
