Most bike shops will send you an unassembled bike and pray that you know how to put it together. But, that’s crazy. Initial setup is everything on a new bike and guarantees a lifetime of use. At Pedaal, we perform the ridiculous. We ship you a fully assembled, tuned, ready-to-roll bike right to your doorstep. Yep, even cargo bikes! Think of it as our expert mechanics virtually packed in a box, riding shotgun with your new wheels.

The Last Mile Revolution

Folding bikes and cargo bikes solve the “last mile” – urban distances that are too far to walk and too short to drive, basically, the majority of nearly all urban trips. However, while cities have experienced a massive “reset” from the suburbs to densifying downtowns, many bike stores haven’t transitioned and only carry bikes designed for recreation or performance.

At Pedaal, our goal is to open more shops in cities everywhere. But until that happens, we’re building the revolution one pallet – or one box – at a time, shipping bikes tuned, tested, and ready to roll straight to your door.

What About Service?

You’re probably thinking: “Cool, but what happens when I need maintenance?” Relax! Bullitt cargo bikes were born for commercial use, which means they come with standardized, easy-to-find parts and as few proprietary bits as possible. Plus, they run on Shimano motors, which any bike shop in the world can service.

Bromptons, on the other hand, are the divas of proprietary parts. There’s a lot of them! But each one is designed with a purpose: to keep the bike legendarily low-maintenance. We stock all Brompton parts (we are known to supply other bike stores) and keep our tech team on standby, so no matter where you are, we’ve got you covered.

Maintenance Without the Headaches

Every bike starts life in our Kensington Market warehouse – a gorgeous converted Bell Telephone building in Kensington Market, Toronto. It’s a beautiful brick-and-beam space where our mechanics dial in every detail. From there, we box it up carefully, bike it over to our shop (on a Bullitt cargo bike, of course), and hand it to FedEx. In a past life, we once sold FedEx 100+ Bullitts. In return, they hooked us up with shipping rates that make coast-to-coast delivery surprisingly affordable.

How long will it take to get your bike? All depends! We build every bike from scratch, so timing depends on the season. Once it’s ready, cross-Canada shipping usually takes about a week. Distances in-between will take less time. Then the big moment: the box arrives, you open it up, roll your new ride out, and you’re off.

What’s the Price?

It ain’t much! We ship cargo bikes across Canada for just $300 and Brompton’s for $50. Brompton G-Lines, which come in a slightly bigger box are priced at $80. Note that we do reserve the right to re-quote shipping based on surge pricing or remote locations, though truth is, this rarely occurs. Got a question? Please contact us at info@pedaal.com
