Rooftop – Colombia Edgar y Dayana Rivadeneira

This washed lot combines coffees grown by Dayana Rivadeneira and her father Edgar at Finca La Quebrada, 2,100 metres above Buesaco in Colombia’s Nariño region. Dayana began producing specialty coffee at nineteen and is now helping her family make the same transition on land they have cultivated for generations. Their Caturra and Variedad Colombia produce a mellow, syrupy cup in which berry sweetness gives way to caramel brittle and rich poached pear. It is generous and comforting, but with the fruit and clarity that distinguish an exceptional Colombian coffee.
