Dak Coffee – Juice Box

Juice Box begins in Colombia and carries a clear Ethiopian lineage. This Chiroso field blend is grown by a group of producers in Urrao at 2,000 metres; genetic research has traced the variety to an Ethiopian landrace, which helps explain the bright, floral character running through the cup. The coffee is washed in small batches through a process that keeps its flavours clean and well defined, bringing forward blood orange, tart rhubarb and honey. As an espresso, the honey gives it sweetness and body, while the citrus carries through the finish. Dak returned to this coffee repeatedly over the past year, and it is easy to taste why.
