Escape – Dulce – Thailand #2

Thailand doesn’t show up often, and when it does in this form, it’s worth paying attention. Dulce comes out of Phupha Estate in Chiang Mai, where second-generation farmers are refining what coffee can look like in this landscape. Grown at 1300–1450 MASL under forest shade, Typica and Bourbon develop slowly, picking up a softness and depth that feels tied to place. Washed processing keeps everything clear and composed, letting the natural character of the varieties and region carry through.

In the cup, it leans warm and familiar, but with a quiet precision. S’more and caramel bring a toasted, rounded sweetness, while dried fig adds a deeper, fruit-laced layer. The texture is smooth and settled, with a clean structure that holds everything in place. Comforting, but dialed, with just enough nuance to keep coming back.
