Funk – You May Be Right

Pink Bourbon has become one of Colombia’s most exciting varieties for a reason. Floral, intensely sweet, and wildly aromatic, it rewards producers who know how to shape it carefully. Beto Narvaez does exactly that at Buenos Aires farm in Huila, combining anaerobic fermentation with thermal shock processing to amplify the variety’s natural intensity without overwhelming its structure. Grown at 1550 MASL, this lot feels dialed from every angle.

In the cup, purple florals come rushing out first, followed by candied orange and layers of ripe fruit that keep unfolding as it cools. The acidity is bright and sparkling, but the sweetness holds everything together with remarkable balance. Saturated, expressive, and completely unapologetic.
