Geisha already carries a reputation for elegance, but this lot from Mercedes Carranza Montenegro pushes it somewhere warmer and more playful. Grown at 1500 MASL in the Amazonas region of Peru and processed natural at La Palmera, the coffee develops a softer, fruit-saturated profile while still holding onto the clarity Geisha is known for. It’s a style that feels less floral and delicate, more sun-soaked and expansive.

In the cup, papaya and ripe mango come forward immediately, followed by a smooth sweet-cream texture that ties everything together. The fruit feels lush without becoming heavy, and the finish stays clean and bright the whole way through. Easygoing on the surface, but layered underneath, like the kind of afternoon that disappears without anyone noticing the time.
